Creating a Privacy Policy Page and Embedding Policy Code in Wix

Once you complete the setup of your Website Policies, you will receive a snippet of code. You will need to create a privacy policy page on your website (if you don't already have one) and add that code. Here's how to do it in Wix: 

Step 1: Log in to Your Wix Account

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to Wix.com.
  2. Click on Sign In at the top right corner of the page.
  3. Enter your email and password, then click Log In.

Step 2: Access Your Wix Site

  1. From your Wix dashboard, select the site you want to edit by clicking on Edit Site.

Step 3: Create a New Page

  1. In the Wix Editor, click on the Menus & Pages icon on the left side of the screen.
  2. Click on the + Add Page button.
  3. Name the new page Privacy Policy.
  4. Click Done.

Step 4: Add Provided HTML Code

  1. To add the HTML code provided when you completed your policy setup, click on the + Add button on the left side of the Editor.
  2. Select Embed Code from the menu.
  3. Choose HTML iframe.
  4. Click and drag the HTML iframe to the desired location on your privacy policy page.
  5. Click on the Enter Code button that appears when the HTML iframe is selected.
  6. Paste your HTML code into the provided box.
  7. Click Apply.

Step 5: Customize and Publish Your Page

  1. Customize the design and layout of your privacy policy page as needed.
  2. Click on Preview at the top right to see how your page looks.
  3. Once satisfied, click on Publish to make your privacy policy page live.

Step 6: Add the Privacy Policy Page to Your Website Menu

  1. Go back to the Menus & Pages panel.
  2. Find your Privacy Policy page and drag it into your footer menu or main site menu.
  3. This helps ensure that your privacy policy is easily accessible to your site visitors.

Step 7: Verify and Test

  1. Open your website in a new browser tab to ensure the privacy policy page is accessible and displays correctly.
  2. Test any embedded HTML code to make sure it functions as expected.
